CRAIG:  For the first time in 10 hours, I am sitting on something other than a car seat!  My name is Craig.  I live in CT.  I enjoy long walks in the woods, puppies, and scary movies.  My turn-offs include....kidding. I am doing the NP trail tomorrow and I am excited and nervous.  Sean and Mike are two friends from middle school.  This will be the longest trip any of us have attempted.

Mike wants me to write a poem...
"Walking in the trees
Tall, fast, running they all seem
But Mike is still huge."

On a serious note, thank you guys (Dan & Kim) So much for everything.  Your advice and support has been amazing!  We will be back and will share this with others.

MIKE:  Thanks so much!  This place is an asset to all NP hikers.  Great place to relax the night before hitting the trailhead.

SEAN:  It was hard to sleep last night, to excited and scared to relax long enough to fall asleep.  I'm looking forward to the trail this morning, wondering what I will see & hear.  Even the longest journey starts with one single step...

Thank for all that you have done!!  This place is simply amazing!!!  Thank you!!

I almost forgot, My name is Sean Babcock from Central NY (not far from Utica/Rome).  This trip will be my first time out in the woods since I had major back surgery on 7/15/03.  I have traveled through Europe, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, and spent 6 1/2 weeks in the Russian Steppe on an archaeological dig, but no place I have seen is as beautiful as these Adirondacks.

Thank you again!
A SAFE ARRIVAL BACK
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENDEAVOR
KIM
