JULY 4TH WEEKEND GETAWAY IN THE SOUTHERN ADIRONDACK MOUNTAINS
July 2, 2004 - July 5, 2004
Meet Bart & Kate
Bart & Kate arrived to the Southern Adirondack Mountains on July 2, 2004 for some outdoor recreation along with rest & relaxation.
The morning of July 3, Bart & Kate decided on the R&R at Pine Lake Beach.
Upon their return to Back To Basics everyone decided on a guided night hike to Kane Mountain firetower to watch the fireworks.
Upon reaching the Adirondack Firetower, everyone proceeded up. We were the only group atop the mountain and were able to enjoy the sunset and scenic views prior to the firework show.
Bart (left) enjoying the scenic views from Kane Mountain overlooking Canada Lake. After night fall the group proceed to the base of the tower to enjoy a small campfire, a few brews and some pepperoni & cheese.
Kate took a wonderful picture of Bart along with two other Back To Basics guests.
Kate & Bart had a wonderful day basking in the sun and taking in the firework show.
Time to head back down the mountain following what we thought we the nights activities. Bart however, continued seeking out new activites. The snake along the trail was one of the groups favorites.
July 4, 2004 - Bart & Kate decided on a motorboat rental for the day at Canada Lake Marine. They spent their day exploring West Lake and Canada Lake waters.

The lake turned out to be wonderful and Bart & Kate took in a refreshing dip.
July 5, 2004 - Bart decides on a wrestling match with Popcorn.
(Left) - Popcorn now beat from the weekend activites decides to take a rest. (Middle) - Kate gets here picture snapped at the Main House. (Right) - Kate gives pop some undivided attention (pop just lovin this).
Bart & Kate decided to stay for a while and have a cookout prior to departing for home.
Kate decides on a little more R&R prior to leaving and snuggles into the Hammock.
Bart still looking for more activities and decides on some tree climbing.

Bart picks up camp following his Southern Adirondack Mountain Adventures.
"We finally found it!!! Camping is what we were looking for all this time.
A place where all you hear is a bird singing above your head and nothing else. If you listen really closely you may even hear the wind playing with the leaves. There is no one around you; you're all alone; it's just you and nature and from time to time Popcorn.
You guys are the best, absolutely the best hosts ever. Guys you are the best and most of all you have a large heart and a lot of love and kindness. We felt it and just know there isn't a lot of people like you guys. We felt so welcome, like we new you for years.
Keep us the great job and be sure to see us back with whole bunch of people. Again thank you very much you made our time here special.

Hey Guys
Just got to my e-mails. Arrived home safetly with lots of terrible traffic. We were looking for Kim to say our thanks but we left a message with Popcorn. Hope you got it. LOL.
Guys you are the best . Thank You both for making this weekend the best of all. !!!!

PS. My mom can not wait to come and relax at your place after spending this weekend at Lake George..LOL
