Meet Steve, Samantha, Peter & Becky

"Our first time to a yurt & my first time meeting Peter & Becky.  This weekend was a great introduction to both.  Kim was a most excellent & generous host, lending her sleeping bag & liner, sharing milk & sugar for coffee, & hot shower when all our water froze.  Brr....  The warm apple "brownies" & hot ciderwas a perfect way to end our night - thank you - after snowshoeing up Kane Mt & the firetower.  Beautiful skies, undulating waves of the frozen stream, yellowish crispy leaves & magnificent green pines caught in white powder, and bright green mosses growing inside hollowed trunks...
The boys did a great job tending to the fire but the frozen logs did challenge them on occassion.  Duncan & Madison surely enjoyed themselves, having the freedom to frolick & play as they pleased, and they certainly appreciated the doggie biscuits.  Now the privy monster did give us a good scare, leaving behind an enormous reminder of his stature - but maybe he too  just enjoyed the banana buckwheat pancakes a little too much.
We look forward to a return trip (Steve maybe even in March)!  Thank you for a wonderful weekend among friends & our new yurt family!
With all my royal wishes,
SAMANTHA, "the yurt princess"

P.P.S. MOOSE!!!
