SOUTHERN ADIRONDACK HIKING
Hiking
"Nature is just enough; but men and women must comprehend and accept her suggestions"
- Antoinette Brown Blackwell -
![]() Your hosts reside in the Silver Lake Wilderness Area of the Adirondacks. The Silver Lake Wilderness Area is the only classified wilderness in the Southern Region. Silver Lake Wilderness is named for a sparkling lake located in its interior. This lake can be accessed by the Southern Terminus of the Northville-Lake Placid Trail.
A hiker's paradise with the remote wilderness. You can choose from different trail lengths and trail difficulties throughout this region. The majority we have listed are in our scenic surrounding area, but we have included a few others. This be for either terrain, scenic views, or just Kim's personal trail preference.
A lot to choose from, and we would be more than happy to help. If none listed suit your hiking pleasure, ask, and we will gladly help you locate a walk suited to you or a hiking adventure.
"Leave nothing but footprints,
Take nothing but pictures,
Kill nothing but time."
