Backcountry Skiing in the Adirondacks

Easy

Broomstick Lake
(1.4 miles, RT, easy)  Broomstick Lake is a little lake that contains colorful rose quartz.  Broomstick Lake was also used in the 1936 filming of the original "The Last of the Mohicans".  Skiers should be cautious in the area of the unnatural chunk, as the cliff created is difficult to see from the top, and the trail goes rather close to it.

Good Luck Lake - Good Luck Cliffs

(5.8 miles RT, easy) Good backcountry skiing under proper snow conditions.  There are enough ups and downs to provide nice runs.
