ADIRONDACK CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING REVIEWS
 - FOR THE ARCTIC CIRCLE SKI CENTER -
Arctic Circle Cross-Country Ski Center is located atop Bleecker Mountain. This photo is one taken of the Tundra Loop. The ski trails range from easy to difficult, great for the beginner or advanced skier.
Alan Gessinger does a wonderful job maintaining and caring for his X-C ski trails, while also maintaining the trails to the yurts for us.  We decided to begin posting feedback to his Ski Lodge here at Back To Basics.  We feel these beautiful trails our the best skiing in the region (we have used them), and would like others to experience them.  Please feel free to email something you would like placed on Al's cross-country ski page.

ARCTIC CIRCLE A SKIER'S DELIGHT

Today, my wife and I, along with a couple of neighbors, traveled up Bleecker Mountain to the Arctic Circle cross-country ski area.  It is located off Persch Road at the end of Reinhart Road (should be Rhinehart) and is a wonderful place to spend a few hours.
There is an ample plowed parking area and a rustic lodge complete with rest rooms, a toasty wood stove and tables where you can rest and eat a little lunch, if you brought it with you.  There are extensive trails, all graded as to difficulty.
There are trails for beginners and some for the most skillful.  Most are through a mature forest, but one does loop out into an open area aptly named "Tundra Trail".   Our party skied for about an hour, had our lunch and then went out again for another session.  The ride up and back has beautiful scenery, and the roads were all nicely cleared.
So, if you are a cross-country skier looking for an inexpensive place to spend some time, Arctic Circle is a great place to go.
