ROMANTIC GETAWAYS IN THE ADIRONDACKS

MEET DEBBIE & DREW
December 30, 2003 - January 2, 2004

Debbie and Drew came Back to Basics for a little Adirondack Romance and to bring in the New Year. Debbie planned this romantic getaway and both Drew and Debbie had a wonderful time.

Debbie and Drew decided to bring in the New Year in the Adirondacks.

During their romantic getaway they also took in some Cross-country Skiing at the Arctic Circle Ski Center and some backcountry snowshoeing.

Winter camping in the Whitetail Run Yurt didn't bother these two, they even had an outdoor fire one evening.

Deb and Drew took in some snowshoeing and x-c skiing along with extra activities.

Debbie is currently attending college and has four children, which we will get to meet this Summer when they return for the Adirondack reunion.     Drew is a professor that teaches 19 century British Literature. Sounds very interesting but extremely hard, Dan and I will pass (or should I say fail) this one. More power to you.

"Came up to celebrate New Years with a bang.  Whitetail Run is a romantic yurt for long winter nights with lots of candles and a blazing woodstove.  Howling winds on New Years Eve made for a blazing bonfire.  X-C skiing very fast & a bit technical.  Al grooms trails well and he's a really nice guy.

We echo what Vicki says about Dan & Kim - they are really great and knowledgable hosts.  They kept us well stocked in water, wood, and local wisdom.  Gotta love the privy designs.

What an amazing getaway!  This is a perfect place to escape reality, if only for a few days.  We were able to try snowshoeing for the first time, and even with Drew's bushwacking/trail blazing desire, we had a wonderful time (the search team was on alert, just in case).

Had a wonderful time; looking forward to the Summer and a return trip.
