Northville-Lake Placid Thru Hike

Up Front and to the point on this one. Been there and done this trip in October 2002. Due to a time frame of the matrix we pushed this trail to the limit and completed it in 11 days. Was definitely not the way to go. If your going to make the Northville Lake Placid trail a once in a lifetime experience take the time to enjoy it. See what you want to see and do what YOU want to do.

Set aside a good three weeks to enjoy the ADK trail. Time before to prepare, see along the way, and time to recoup and relax when you finish the thru-hike. You deserve it and will need it.

We will guide the Northville-Lake Placid thru-hike, but do require notice for this trip. You and us be back to basics for awhile, and we do need time for proper planning and safety along the ADK trail. Multiple arrangements must be made for drops. We also need to have you here a couple days prior to the thru-hike departure - we need to know you are ready (this is not a walk in the park). There are times you are 20 miles back with no outs.

If you are a hiker of little experience, we do not have a problem with taking you or your group through, but we do need to know for your safety as well as ours what your expectations and limitations are. The ADK Northville-Lake Placid trail is 133 miles in length and not a testing ground.

I will tell you up front, it can be trying on the nerves - the one you are fond of can turn to one you would like to dispose of.

Self-sufficient is a must for all who set out on this trip. It is not a training ground, nor a place where help can be obtained immediately in case of emergency, so your background is helpful.

4+ days gear rental is $35.00/day

+++Overnight Trips add an additional $20.00/day for your meals+++

This package includes five nights lodging at Adirondack Wilderness Adventures and thirteen days of guided hiking/camping. You will be receiving 1-2 licensed guides depending on the size of your party.

THE EXTENSIVE NORTHVILLE-LAKE PLACID THRU HIKE IS BASED ON A 13-DAY TRIP IN THE WILDERNESS AND FIVE DAYS AT BACK TO BASICS. IF YOU DO REQUIRE MORE TIME ALONG THE TRAIL (GUIDE RATES AND FOOD) WILL BE BASED ON THE DAILY RATE CHARGE.
