For the boating enthusiast, Back To Basics, is conveniently located to state boat launch sites.   West Lake, Caroga Lake, Canada Lake, Pine Lake and the Sacandaga Reservoir are the closest in distance to Back To Basics.  If you are seeking other state boat launch sites, your hosts will gladly supply you with other Upstate New York locations, upon your request.  The information and directions regarding the three state boat launch sites in our area, are listed to your left.
If you are interested in boat rentals or boating supplies, Canada Lake Marine is located minutes up the road.  Please contact the Canada Lake marine early regarding your boat rentals to assure availability.  


Adirondack boating ranges from sail boat, rowboat, paddleboat, motorboat, pontoon boat, power boat. The silver lake wilderness area alone contains 44 lakes. Many remote access only, but many also easily reached for your boat trip in the Adirondacks.
