A ROMANTIC ADIRONDACK ANNIVERSARY GETAWAY
Jamie & Brad
June 5, 2004 - June 9, 2004
Meet Jamie & Brad
![]() Jamie & Brad arrived at on June 5, 2004 to celebrate their 4th year anniversary in the Adirondacks.
![]() Their plan was some kayaking, mountain biking, and rest and relaxation.
![]() We learned that they are in process of building their new home in Pennsylvania and are looking forward to getting a dog. We did offer Popcorn, but they weren't quite ready.
![]() Jamie and Brad opted for the Crow's Nest Yurt and had a fine adjustment to the new accommodation.
![]() The first night of their arrival they opted to check out their new surroundings and plan for tommorrows mountain biking adventure along the Powley Piseco Road Trails.
![]() Brad we learned is a teacher that also enjoys football and the outdoors.
![]() The following day Brad & Jamie departed for Powley Piseco Road for their mountain bike expedition - Big Alderbed Lake was the destination.
Jamie unfortunately did take a spill.
![]() Jamie we learned is a biologist for the National Park Service for the Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River (UPDE) and also loves the outdoors. Upon their return to camp they decided on an outdoor fire and some rest and relaxation.
![]() Popcorn also decided on the rest and relaxation on a ploy for the upcoming dinner. VERY NEGLECTED YOU KNOW!
![]() Jamie and Brad also decided on some remote kayaking. The black flies had already left Bleecker for the season, but were in full force along Powley Road in Arietta, NY.
![]() Brad got away with a few bites, but Jamie took the brunt of the bites. We applied the Calamine to help relieve the itching prior to their anniversary retreat back to the yurt.
During their wedding anniversary trip, Jamie and Brad also took in Woods Lake and did want to try a Cathead Mountain hike (which unfortunetly is now closed due to an easement issue).
HOPEFULLY MORE PICTURES TO COME FROM JAMIE AND BRAD'S COLLECTION; DURING THEIR ADIRONDACK ADVENTURE
"We came to Back To Basics to celebrate our 4th year Anniversary in the peace and solitude of the great outdoors. We throughly enjoyed our first ever Yurt experience and slept like babies next to the warmth of the woodstove for the first two nights.
We enjoyed the surroundings and the setting of Back To Basics. So much great wilderness in the Southern Decks to see that our short stay wasn't nearly long enough to experience it all, though we did spend a day mountain biking, a day hiking and a day kayaking.
Great hosts that instantly make you feel comfortable. Thanks so much for the chocolate covered strawberries too - such a treat!
Don't believe them when they tell you the black flies aren't bad in the Adirondacks. Just ask to see the picture "I got hammered"!"
